Introduction

The first term 2024/25 academic session witnessed series of celebration activities. It was the season of anniversary of our tenth year, which was held with pomp and pageantry including thanksgiving service at the Living Faith Church. We also received our accreditation with Cambridge University and British Council as a partner School for the conduct of IGCSE, GCSE, Cambridge O & A/Level Examinations, which would enable our graduates to further their education directly in the UK or any other affiliated Cambridge University country without any further assessment. The commencement date of these examinations is mid 2025 and our present SS3, SS2, SS1 and JSS3 are eligible to participate. We would like to congratulate all of us as the Osun State On-Line Publishers Association adjudged us as the Best Private Secondary School in 2024. Our students participated in the British Council Global Arts competition against over 1,000 schools and we are hopeful for a good showing. All these and many more we achieved by the Grace of God and of course, on account of the very supportive roles of our parents and guardians.

Royalty Football Academy

The activities of the Royalty Football Academy was average in the outgoing term. It was deliberately slowed down to reduce the level of noise and control lacklustre academic approaches. Admission space still exists for whoever is interested in the academy. Please contact the school admin for further information.

British Council Partnership

We are excited and grateful to the Almighty God that the long awaited accreditation with the Cambridge University and British Council was approved in October 2024. What this feat has earned our school is a status of an accredited training and examining centre for exams such as GCSE, IGCSE, IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, Cambridge O’ level and A’ level and other similar exams. We can now launch the Cambridge A Level that will enable participants gain admission directly into 200 Levels in local or overseas universities. Also, as a British Council partner school, we would enjoy the privilege of easy academic visitations across international boundaries. Phoebestar intends to commence the Cambridge (1 year) A/L course and examinations in the Second Term 2024/25 session to enable students, who could not secure admission in a particular year to continue and qualify for 200 Level admission.

Cambridge Accredited Examinations

The 2025 Cambridge accredited examinations is scheduled for mid year 2025 but modalities and cost implication for the examinations is being compiled. The details will soon be available for JSS 3, SS1, SS2, SS3 and A Level classes. A special Cambridge classes would be organised as soon as interests are indicated. The important issue is that all parents desirous of their children writing these exams plus attending the special classes are to please inform the Admin Office accordingly.

Payment of School Fees

Early payment of school fees is probably the most important way parents and guardians can be of support to us as a school in this capital intensive efforts of providing and sustaining the kind of quality service delivery we are doggedly committed to. The second term fee structure is already attached to this newsletter and we hereby seize this opportunity to remind our parents of the necessity of early payment.
